The organization was created in 1958 by a group of committed parents who wanted to ensure their children with disabilities received an education. Since its initial inception, the Society has evolved to meet the ever-changing needs of our clients and our community.
PDSCL's Code of Ethics is a very important document for staff, stakeholders and Board of Directors. PDSCL's staff review and sign the Code of Ethics upon hire and annually.
Cultural Competency is important to us! We review a document and address cultural competency and sensitivity in training modules.
PDSCL subscribes to HR Downloads and its online database of staff training webinars. We have developed a list of training courses staff are required to complete on hire and annual refresher courses thereafter.
